FIXBASE is a combination of Cefixime Tablets and antibiotics. Antibiotics are used to treat a wide range of bacterial illnesses, including infections of the ear, nose, sinuses, respiratory system, urinary tract, and throat, as well as some sexually transmitted diseases. Cefixime Tablets work by inhibiting the growth of the bacteria's protective layer.
If you are allergic to cefixime, penicillins, or other cephalosporin antibiotics (e.g., cephalexin), or if you have any other allergies, notify your doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Inactive chemicals may be included in this product, causing allergic reactions or other issues. For further information, speak with your pharmacist.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history, especially if you have kidney illness or a specific intestinal ailment, before using this drug (colitis). Cefixime may impair the effectiveness of live bacterial vaccinations (such as the typhoid vaccine). Unless your doctor advises otherwise, do not get any vaccines or vaccinations while taking this drug.
The tablet should only be taken under the guidance of a doctor or other qualified health care provider. Use it on a regular basis, as directed by your doctor, at equally spaced intervals. It will help you remember to take it if you use it at the same time every day. The dosage will vary depending on your condition, but you should always finish the entire course of antibiotics given by your doctor. Even if you feel better, keep taking it until you've finished it. Some germs may survive if you stop taking them too soon, and the infection may return or worsen. It is ineffective against viral infections such as the flu or the common cold. When you use an antibiotic when you don't need it, it can make it less effective in the future.
Stomach upset/pain, diarrhea, nausea, gas, headache, or dizziness are all possible side effects. Notify your doctor or pharmacist right once if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
Keep in mind that your doctor ordered this medication because he or she believes the benefit to you outweighs the risk of adverse effects. The majority of people who take this medicine do not have any substantial adverse effects.
Severe stomach/abdominal pain, persistent nausea/vomiting, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine, unusual tiredness, new signs of infection (e.g., persistent sore throat, fever), easy bruising/bleeding, signs of kidney problems (such as a change in the amount of urine), mental/mood changes should all be reported to your doctor right away (such as confusion).
